The UK reveals new immigration rules for businesses

 

From January 1, 2021, employers in the UK will require a Sponsor Licence in order to hire most of the skilled workers from outside the UK.

Most businesses looking to hire EU nationals from January 2021 onwards will be required to get a sponsor licence. There are certain differences between the new rules and the existing sponsorship system.

Skilled migrants in South Australia can now apply for Subclass 491

  Australia has allowed skilled migrants residing in South Australia to apply for a state nomination if they meet federal and state requirements. South Australia has opened its migration program for 2021-22 for select occupations including: speech pathologist occupational therapist audiologist physiotherapist From July 20, 2021, offshore applicants are permitted to file their RoI (Registration of Interest) to get a nomination from the Australian state. The nomination will be for the Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional (Provincial)) visa. Onshore applicants are allowed to apply for Subclass 190 and Subclass 491. Nominations can be applied for under 3 categories: Talent and Innovators Program International Graduate of South Australia Currently employed in South Australia (this includes long-term residents in South Australia) Once onshore applicants get a state nomination, they can apply for Subclass 190 (Permanent) and Subclass 491 (the 5-year visa) visas.
