Nova Scotia launches new immigration stream targeting international graduates

Nova Scotia has launched a new Nova Scotia PNP stream that targets international graduates namely International Graduates in Demand.

NSNP has opened this stream to foreign workers in one of the following NOC coded occupations:

  • NOC 4214 – Early childhood educators and assistants
  • NOC 3413 – Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates

Eligibility requirements

You as a candidate must:

  • Have a job offer for a full-time permanent job from an employer in Nova Scotia for jobs corresponding to NOC 4214 or 3413 that relates to your recent field of study
  • Complete a course of study of a minimum of 30 weeks in length and 50% done in Nova Scotia, within 3 years of your application
  • Have certifications required for the job issued by regulatory bodies in Nova Scotia
  • Be between 21 and 55
  • Have completed a program that must grant a diploma, certificate, or degree in case you come under NOC 3413
  • Have completed a program that must grant a degree or diploma in case you come under NOC 4214
  • Have language ability of CLB Level 5 in English/French
  • Have a high school diploma
  • Have financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia
