BC PNP Tech invites 72 new skilled tech workers to the province

 72 new tech-skilled candidates invited by BC PNP in Tech Pilot draw

It was time for a Tech Pilot draw on June 15, 2021, in British Columbia. BC issued invitations to 72 immigration candidates working in the IT sector. They were invited to apply for a provincial nomination.

The BC PNP Tech, through which the invitations were issued, is part of the BC PNP. These candidates had to meet the criteria of one of BC’s Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories. The SIRS manages these categories.

Candidates who got invitations in the June 15 draw came from the International Graduate as well as Skilled Worker subcategories. They needed a minimum of 80 as their provincial score.

The candidates who received invitations have 30 calendar days to file an application for the nomination.

BC has invited 5,321 immigration candidates this year. 

It was in 2017 that the launching of the BC PNP Tech happened as a pilot project. It happened following a labor market study. In the study, the biggest issue BC’s technology sector face was revealed. The issue was about the access to required tech talent. Read More
