What is Manitoba Immigration Programs?
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program manages Manitoba’s immigration programs and manages the immigration applications to the Canadian Federal Government. Canadian provinces do not hold the authority to issue permanent residency status but help the candidates through provincial nominations.
If the candidate wants to avail the nomination through Manitoba, then they need to register an Expression of Interest with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. This allows receiving an LAA through either of the streams Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas.
Manitoba ranks the candidates out of 1,000 points based on their human capital factors and association with the province.
The two streams in Manitoba, namely, Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba, are designed to identify the desired candidates who meet their labor market needs.
Overseas applicants need to demonstrate their association with the province of Manitoba through
- likes of close family ties
- previous experience in the province
- invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives
The candidate need not be in Manitoba during the time of application. Read More
